Ultrafast, Abbreviated, and Conventional Breast MRI: Who and Why? 

Are you using abbreviated magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) protocols effectively for breast cancer screening?

​​This activity is intended for radiologists, oncologists, obstetrician gynecologists, and radiologic technologists.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to incorporate breast MRI techniques into clinical practice. 

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Rationale for using ultrafast, abbreviated, and conventional protocol breast MRI

    • Techniques used to acquire ultrafast, abbreviated, and conventional breast MR images

    • Subtleties in interpreting ultrafast, abbreviated, and conventional breast MRI 

  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Apply best practices to the appropriate use of breast MRI in clinical practice 

ACCREDITATION AND CREDIT
This activity has been approved by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) for 0.50 hours of ARRT Category A continuing education credit.
