ACTIVITY GOAL
The goal of this activity is to inform radiologists and cardiologists about ongoing research regarding cardiac injury in recovered COVID-19 patients and the role of cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in characterizing the potentially chronic effects of COVID-19 on the heart. 

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants will have increased knowledge regarding the:

  • Emerging evidence of the  impact of COVID-19 on the heart 
  • Identification of COVID-related cardiac injury in patients recovered from the COVID-19 virus 
  • Techniques used to optimize imaging of COVID-related cardiac abnormalities in recovered COVID-19 patients 

ACCREDITATION AND CREDIT
This activity has been approved by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) for 0.50 hours of ARRT Category A continuing education credit.
