Course Overview
In an era of high demand for breast screening exams, clinicians are continually looking for safe and effective breast cancer screening tools. This webinar will review the evidence-based literature supporting contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM), patient selection criteria, and techniques and protocols for performing CEM.

Educational Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Evaluate the role of contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM) as an adjunct to digital mammography
  • Discuss patient selection and clinical indications for performing CEM
  • Describe the clinical protocols for performing CEM

How to Enroll and Participate
This program is offered by ICPME through WebEx webinar service at no charge to the learner.

Credit cannot be granted for group viewing. To receive credit, each attendee must sign in on a separate computer.

  • Click ENROLL NOW and follow the registration instructions to register with ICPME.
  • You will receive an email from ICPME confirming your registration.
  • At the end of the registration process, click on ACCESS WEBINAR to complete the pre-course survey as well as to register on the ICPME WebEx site.
  • Detailed log-in instructions will be sent to you via e-mail the day before the webinar.

How to Receive Credit

  • To receive credit, each participant must attend the entire session and complete the postcourse evaluation within 7 days after the presentation.

  • Upon verification of your participation from the WebEx event report, you will receive an email from ICPME two weeks after the event with instructions to print your certificate of credit. You will not be able to print your certificate until that time.

Your certificate of credit will remain in your account at www.icpme.us as a permanent record of your participation.

Dr. Bhavika Patel is a diagnostic radiologist in the Breast Clinic at Mayo Clinic, Phoenix. She completed medical school at University of Arizona College of Medicine and residency in the Department of Radiology at Emory University School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in breast imaging at Emory.

Dr. Patel’s special interest is in the use of contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM). Research studies recently published in the American Journal of Roentgenology address the potential cost savings of CEM and radiation dose of CEM as compared to both 2D and 3D mammography.
