A certified one-hour webinar on the clinical utility of prostate MRI in the diagnosis of prostate cancer, imaging protocols, and reporting guidelines for radiologists and other healthcare professionals who treat patients with prostate disease.

Course Overview
This program will provide learners with a variety of prostate MRI cases.  Expert faculty will share their experience and approach to prostate MRI in their practice.

Educational Objectives for the Series

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Define the role of MRI for prostate cancer detection, staging and surveillance
  • Apply protocol and acquisition techniques to acquire diagnostic MR images that assist urologists in treating men with prostate disease
  • Develop interpretation strategies to compensate for the limitations of MRI in patients with prostate disease

  • Click the blue link. Complete the precourse evaluation and click SUBMIT.
  • Once the precourse evaluation is submitted, click on the blue link again to view the course.
  • Click on PLAYBACK. To view the streaming video, you may have to download the WebEx Player or Java.

How to Recieve Credit

  • View the entire one-hour session. The question-and-answer period at the end of the lecture is not required to receive credit.
  • At the conclusion of the lecture, close the WebEx Player window. You will be redirected to the ICPME website.
  • From the COURSE HOME page, click the buttons for POSTTEST and for EVALUATION.
  • A passing grade of at least 75% is required to receive credit. You may take the test up to three times.
  • Upon receipt of a passing grade, you will be able to print a certificate of credit from your online account.

Faculty Biography

Dr. Harisinghani serves as Associate Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School and Associate Radiologist and Director of the Department of Abdominal Imaging and Intervention at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Dr. Harisinghani attended Grant Medical College at the University of Bombay and completed his residency in radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital. His primary clinical interests are in abdominal and pelvic MR imaging. Dr. Harisinghani has been involved in the development and application of novel molecular markers imaged by MR and recently concluded translational clinical trials for the use of magnetic nanoparticles for use in MR detection of minimal nodal disease in prostate cancer. Dr. Harisinghani has authored almost 60 medical publications, including the Teaching Atlas of Abdominal Imaging with Peter R. Mueller, MD, in 2008.
