A certified one-hour prerecorded webinar on detection of prostate cancer for radiologists and other health care professionals who treat patients with prostate disease.

Course Overview

This program will provide learners with a variety of prostate MRI cases.  Expert faculty will share their experience and approach to prostate MRI in their practice.
 

Educational Objectives for the Series

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

• Define the role of MRI for prostate cancer detection, staging and surveillance
• Apply protocol and acquisition techniques to acquire diagnostic MR images that assist urologists in treating men with prostate disease
• Develop interpretation strategies to compensate for the limitations of MRI in patients with prostate disease

There are no fees to participate in this activity. Each participant will need a computer with internet access.

• To register, click ENROLL NOW, then CONTINUE, CONFIRM ORDER, and ACCESS COURSE NOW.
• Click the blue link. Complete the precourse evaluation and click SUBMIT.
• Once the precourse evaluation is submitted, click on the blue link again to view the course.
• Click on PLAYBACK. To view the streaming video, you may have to download the WebEx Player or Java.

Please note: The WebEx platform will play on desktop or laptop computers only. It will not play on mobile devices.

To Apply for Credit

• View the entire one-hour session. The question-and-answer period at the end of the lecture is not required to receive credit.
• At the conclusion of the lecture, close the WebEx Player window. You will be redirected to the ICPME website.
• From the COURSE HOME page, click the buttons for POSTTEST and for EVALUATION.
• A passing grade of at least 75% is required to receive credit.  You may take the test up to three times.
• Upon receipt of a passing grade, you will receive instructions to print a credit certificate.
   

Faculty Biography

Dr. Cornud completed his medical studies, residency and fellowship at Xavier Bichat Medical University in Paris, France and since 1985 has been a consultant radiologist both there and at Henri Descartes Medical University, Paris.

Dr. Cornud is a clinical expert in the field of uroradiology and has authored 120 scientific publications – of which 23 focused on prostate imaging.  In addition, Dr. Cornud has contributed content to prostate-specific sections of books including Clinical MRI: MRI of the Prostate Gland, F. Cornud and N. Papanicolaou, Springer publications.

He is a member of the Radiologic Society of North America and a fellow of the North American Society of Uroradiology and the European Society of Urogenital Radiology.
